Day 2: Blog Challenge

Day 2: Your Favorite Movie

I have to admit... I'm Twilight Obsessed. I never went and saw the first movie in the theaters, and it wasn't until 6 months after the movie was released that I actually read the books. Jon was working in New York and I was pretty bored at home and my sister in law Katie suggested I read the books. Lets just say I finished all of the books by the time Jon got back from NY. It definitely made the time fly. So I think I have this special connection with Edward comforting me when Jon was gone. HA!

The movie isn't really at all like the books, but with how much I LOVED the book, the movie reminds me of how much I love the book. Bella's acting is pathetic but I still love it.

TEAM EDWARD!!!!

Day 1: Blog Challenge

day 1: recent picture of yourself and 5 interesting facts about you

Recent Picture of yourself:

5 Facts about me:

1: I hate cherries. The thought of it makes me think of NyQuil and that stuff is just disgusting!

2: I have had 8 surgeries and 4 broken since turning 12. That puts me at about 1 surgery/broken bone a year! Insurance for me is a must!

3: When I was in 3rd grade I overdosed on peanut butter and was allergic to peanuts for about 2 years. True story.

4: I do consider my dog my child. Until I have a real child of my own I will continue to let Milo sleep under my covers and give me kisses. Who can't love that little guy?

5: Every time that I have cried to get out of a ticket, I've gotten a ticket. Every time I have not cried, I have not gotten a ticket.... Anyone that says girls can get anything by crying is seriously mistaken.

Happy Birthday Jon!

Yesterday was Jon's Birthday!! On Sunday my family had a birthday party for Jon where he got his present from my parents and I; a Nail Gun!

A little spoiled but he deserved it! Then yesterday we all went out to lunch and my brother gave him Call Of Duty for the XBox... I might not be seeing him for awhile. =) Last night we went to the Grizzly game with some of Jon's friends. It was pretty fun and an awesome game! Grizzlies went into overtime and ended up loosing in a shoot out AND there was a pretty awesome fight that broke out, not bad not bad.

I am so thankful for Jon and everything that he does for me. He works so hard and is constantly there for me doing anything he can to put a smile on my face.
Happy Birthday!!!!

Corporate Games... and such

So this blog challenge isn't going so well... sad to say I have no recent pictures! We'll hold off on this challenge until I get some!

The beginning of this month work participated in "Winter Corporate Games." To our defense we are a much smaller company than most of the companies we were competing with. Other companies would hold try outs while we just begged people to participate. I participated in 4 events.

Ping Pong

Dad and I were on the same team... didn't go so well but it was fun!

Dodgeball

Soccer

We ended up playing 3 games (50 mins each) in a row with only 1 guy sub... pretty sure I lost 5 lbs that night

and Volleyball but I don't have any pictures back from that yet.

Church on Sunday was interesting too. Teaching the Sunbeams is the best birth control. For the first time I can officially say that I was spat on by a child. Yes a big, juicy, pool of spit landed perfectly on my wedding ring. Sweet. I constantly keep cleaning my ring just thinking about it.

Milo has graduated and now is good enough that he can be left out of his kennel while we are gone. He still stays in his kennel while we are at work but is left out when we go out at night. He gets VERY confused by this. He has learned that when we lock the door and put our shoes on its time to go and he runs into his kennel without being told. When we leave and his kennel is not locked he gets very confused. Last night Jon spent 20 mins trying to figure out what show to leave on for milo to watch when we were gone. Animal Plant was the pick.

Excerpts from a Cat's Daily Diary...

Day 983 of my captivity...

My captors continue to taunt me with bizarre little dangling objects.

They dine lavishly on fresh meat, while the other inmates and I are fed hash or some sort of dry nuggets.

Although I make my contempt for the rations perfectly clear, I nevertheless must eat something in order to keep up my strength.

The only thing that keeps me going is my dream of escape. In an attempt to disgust them, I once again vomit on the carpet.

Today I decapitated a mouse and dropped its headless body at their feet. I had hoped this would strike fear into their hearts, since it clearly demonstrates what I am capable of. However, they merely made condescending comments about what a 'good little hunter' I am.

There was some sort of assembly of their accomplices tonight. I was placed in solitary confinement for the duration of the event. However, I could hear the noises and smell the food. I overheard that my confinement was due to the power of 'allergies.' I must learn what this means and how to use it to my advantage.

Today I was almost successful in an attempt to assassinate one of my tormentors by weaving around his feet as he was walking. I must try this again tomorrow -- but at the top of the stairs.

I am convinced that the other prisoners here are flunkies and snitches. The dog receives special privileges. He is regularly released - and seems to be more than willing to return. He is obviously retarded.

The bird has got to be an informant. I observe him communicating with the guards regularly. I am certain that he reports my every move. My captors have arranged protective custody for him in an elevated cell, so he is safe. For now...

I accept!

Yesterday we had the Thorpe family dinner. We were talking about Peter and Katie going on a cruise and they asked Jon and I if something were to happen to them if we would take care of their kids. Without even thinking I said of course. And they said we're serious, and I said I am too. When I got home I thought about it more. What a life changing experience it would be if Riley and Emma were now part of our little family. Everything would change but we adore those kids. And then thinking that Peter and Katie would trust us with their most precious possessions is even more special. Just thinking about it makes me realize really how great a families love is that we would change our lives to support each other. I accept!
