I remember her always wanting to help buy me dresses for my homecoming dances because she didn't have a girl of her own to buy one for. My favorite memory of her was wedding dress shopping with her and my mom. It was a special experience and got spoiled by two moms at my wedding. She was always there when you needed to talk or to ask silly questions like "how in the world do I make brown sugar soft again." I had the unique opportunity to go with my mom and cousin Jessica on Friday afternoon to dress her in her temple clothes. It was a very special experience to be able to have that alone time with her and be able to place her in her resting clothes with all of the love we had. It was very hard yesterday at her funeral but it makes me so glad to know that this is not the end. We could all just imagine the reunion of her and my grandparents. We're pretty sure my grandpa said something like "what the heck are you doing here!" but then nothing but hugs. I did have a little laugh though when I was saying my last goodbyes and looked into her casket and saw that someone put a diet coke in there. My uncle Randy (her husband) said something that I will never forget...
"I have not lost her... I know right where she is"
